    ugh... work...
so i had a bad day at work... i locked myself in the freezer... it was below 0...

after 10 minutes of saying "oh crap" and trying to open the door, and banging on the door i decided to call the customer service from my cell... no reception. damn. i finally got reception after 5 minutes, and i get let out, only to be welcomed by laughter from about the entire store. granted, it was hella funny, but it was really embarassing. so then the rest of the night, my assistant manager karsten wants to be a jerk to me, blaming things on me that i did not do. i got pretty pissed off and stood up to him after a bit, and he backed off... ha! i'll show you karsten, you pompous, overbearing jerk!

oh, and i get to go back in 9 hours... fun!

but i get off at 6:30 so i can go to prayer group for the first time in a long while, which is awesome

    that's all for now kids

    Viva Las Vegas!!!
So I just got back from sin city, Las Vegas itself. Andy and I left about 4:00 a.m. saturday morning. we got to lake mead to get our camping spot, then realized that we had 10 psi in our front right tire... damn. so we put the spare on, and spent a good 2 hours trying to find a place and getting it patched. turns out we had 3 nails in the tire... amazing driving skill andy! So we eventually got to vegas, then needed something to do for 3 horus. so we went to the hard rock hotel, and ate lunch/dinner there. then we went to the MGM Grand and shopped in the underground shopping area for a bit. then it was time for the show... w00t

So we got there, and had to park what seemed like a half mile away from the concert grounds. that turned out to be a good thing later though, cause we got out of the lot in a timely fashion. I was carrying a 16oz energy drink, i think a Rockstar energy drink. they wouldn't let me in with it, so i chugged the whole 16oz can... which was 2 full servings. i was wired the rest of the night, till i crashed at the campsite. so then we wandered the merch booths and stuff untill we got seats. then an opening band started to play. they were absolutely terrible. i wish i could tell you who they were, but i honestly don't remember (nor do i want to). i'll take that back, the singer was absolutely terrible. he was about on par with chase, the singer for my first band IPL... so if you've heard that record you know the caliber of the singer. the backup singers were good, instrumentals great, the vocals just ruined it.

After that Weezer played, and they played a good show. I have never been a big fan of Weezer, they were always just ok in my book. they played a good set, however, so i enjoy their music more now. after that, (and a 45 minute wait), the Red Hot Chili Peppers took the stage. They were amazing. There is no other way to describe it. Flea (the bassist) came out wearing nothing but a pair of tidy whities, and one of those colorful beanies with a spinny thing on top. they played a long, and amazing set. the stage was great, 2 video screens on the left/right side of the stage, and in the back a video wall. then, after they finished the set, they came back out for an encore. I was expecting them to come out and play 2 of their popular songs we hadn't heard yet, but no, they had a surprise. John Frusciante (the guitar player) came out, and picked up Flea's bass. i was confused, and then Flea came out carrying a (very high quality, high end getzen i think) trumpet. i knew we were in for a treat. so John starts playing a rythm, and Flea just starts soloing. like mad. it was pure, old school funk. and it was amazing. I had no idea Flea could play the trumpet, yet he played it like a professional. It was definately the highlight. Then the rest of the band came out, and they played Under the Bridge and Give it Away, to end the night.

After that, since it was Vegas's centenial, they had a great fireworks display. one of the best i've seen. then we left, off-roaded to get out of the parking lot in a halfway decent amount of time, and slept at our campsite. we got up and drove home, and here i am. all in all, it was amazing.

if there was one thing you would never want to have broken in arizona, what is it?
think of an answer for the above question. if you chose air conditioning, you got the question right. guess what has been broken the past 2 days? if you guessed air conditioning, you guessed correctly. wednesday morning i woke up and it was about 90 degrees at 8 in the morning. i put up with the heat the whole day till 3 when i went to work. my room is of course upstairs, so i got the brunt of the heat. so i go to work, then spend the night at brian's... help him with vacation bible school the next day running games, then hang out with him the rest of the day. supposed to go to work, called in, manager pissed. hopefully not fired. stayed that night as well, cool MGS action getting me into my house and back out without parents noticing (didnt know i didnt go to work). then, today shot video for the life night, hung out with brian rest of day, then he took me home. and here i am... dazed and confused.

so thats the past few days in a nutshell.

    peace out, yo

some people are just born without common sense
i have decided that i feel like a babysitter to most of my co-workers that have the same job, courtesy clerk, as i do. they are all either 16, over 70, mentally handicapped, or just plain stupid. there are a couple exceptions, but not many.

of course, the people that actually shop at the store can just be plain stupid. some guy asked me where the lime juice was. "aisle xxx (dont remember), would you like me to take you there?" "no, thats ok" he says. so he comes back to my register with a bottle of lemon juice. "no sir that is lemon juice, let me show you the lime juice". we get there, and it turns out he wanted lemon/lime soda wow, he actually thought he had the right thing too when he came back w/ lemon juice too... would have loved to see him try it...

surprisingly, tuesday is soooooooo much less crowded than monday... and i got to thinking why on the slow time. i have a hypothesis now... i think since the whole weekend everyone (or the majority anyway) of ASU (or everyone that normally goes there anyway, since its summer) is piss drunk, and they don't realize till monday "oh crap, we dont have any food left... lets go shopping..." that has to be it, there is no other explanation... and that is absolutely hillarious.

well that is all i have time for now is work and sleep... it kind of sucks... i actually can't wait for school to start so i have something to do
    how sad is that?

    sweet...
I went to an awesome ska show tonight... Monkey, from the San Francisco Bay area was in town, they were absolutely amazing. they are the more reggae side of ska. i got their first 2 albums (of 3) for 10 bucks!!! they are ridiculously good. so i'm feeling happy now, a nice change of pace. ska, and skanking around a concert always seems to put me in a better mood. i think if ska were around in the time of ancient greek mythology, it would have been the music of the gods.

and in other notes, i am probably gonna put out another addition of the music DVDs i put out, cause i've recently added a bunch of tracks, and surpassed 12 Gigabytes and 4.5 days. suhweeeeet!!!

back to my bad mood again...
    i wish i didn't have to care,
i wish i could just say "screw you" and be done,
but that isn't the way i am

i want to be done, to just give the finger and run off,
the crude expression making me feel better,
    but i am too nice

"Chancelor Danforth, you are under arrest"
so today after seniors got out brenzel and i are walking to our cars and adam, danny, and eric ask us to participate in a lightsaber raid on Danforth's room (junior year english teacher). we immediately complied, of course. we waited outside his room for the opportune moment (lights going off). o'connor walked out of his room past us, gave us a "WTF?" look, and went on. i thought he was going to destroy us. but anyway, so the lights go off, we get our cue, and its show time. danny leads, saying "Chancelor Danforth, you are under arrest!" and the 5 of us draw our lightsabers. cameron, ryan brennan, and david drew their lightsabers and charged. what ensued will surely be remembered in history as being the most awesome of awesome thing ever. danforth was laughing like no other, people were getting hit with lightsabers, people got on desks, and as quickly as it started, it ended and the seniors ran out of the room. as we were leaving, Danforth calls "Thanks guys" and we leave with one of the most memorable moments of our brophy careers. we needed a video camera so badly.

    The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when things are straight-forward, and you're told that you're loved.

You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was ruthless, cold-blooded, and sarcastic.

Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as something you can get or discard anytime. You're feeling self centered.
